My photographic background is a combination of my interest and experience in photojournalism and event photography as well as my education and training in fine art. I have a Bachelors of Fine Art degree in Fine Art Photography from the University of Delaware. My photojournalistic experience includes photographing both large and small events, press releases, and publicity related photoshoots for clients such as the University of Delaware and Philadelphia Magazine.
The style of photography I specialize in and the structure of our business comes directly from my own preferences in photography, and my view of what is truly important. Every detail of our business is decided on the basis of “Is this something that I would want for my own wedding?”. Here are a few points of my own preference and personality that I hope come across in my photography:
- I value doing something right over doing something quickly.
- Natural light is the best option in any situation where it is available.
- Interfering as little as possible with what I am photographing is one of the keys to capturing it in a natural and authentic way.
- The bride and groom do not want to look back on their wedding day and remember the photographer in their face during every intimate moment.
- The family and friends of the bride and groom are a very important part of their wedding day, and capturing them enjoying it is extremely important.
- My being as flexible as possible and helping everything go smoothly on your wedding day will result in more pictures of a happy bride and groom :)
