Chesapeake City had their annual 4th of July Celebration last night throughout the town. There was a parade through the center of town, food and music in Pell Gardens, bouncy houses for the kids at the Chesapeake Inn, and fireworks over the basin at dark. We had a great time seeing many friends there, and the great family atmosphere makes this one of our favorite yearly events :)
For the past few years Chesapeake City, Maryland has been celebrating the fourth of July with a fireworks show. It has been better each year, and is one of our favorite in town events. Chesapeake City had their annual St. Patricks Day parade in town yesterday (followed by a pub crawl for the adults). The Philadelphia Mummers Band (Duffy String Band), Clydesdales from nearby Winbak Farms, some great classic cars, High School bands (from Bohemia Manor, Rising Sun, and Elkton) were some of the highlights of the parade.
