For the past few years Chesapeake City, Maryland has been celebrating the fourth of July with a fireworks show. It has been better each year, and is one of our favorite in town events. With a parade around town before dark, and activities and music in Pell Gardens followed by a fireworks show that can be seen from most spots in town. Along the canal, in Pell Gardens, and from the local restaurants are some of the places you can watch the fireworks from. Last year my family and a few friends watched the fireworks from the Chesapeake Inn’s downstairs, and the view and atmosphere was great.
This year on July 4th 2014, the parade begins at 6:30 followed by music food and fun in Pell Gardens, then the fireworks show at dusk.
