Many people are excited about the possibilities that drone photography and videography advancements in the past few years have brought us.  In the last six months there have been clarifications and stabilizations of the rules surrounding drone photography and videography.

If you are using drone photos or video for any commercial purpose, you need to be doing it through a FAA certified drone operator

Drone pilots commercially certified by the FAA (through part 107 or Exemption 333) are capable of safely navigating the complicated airspaces in the United States.  Reading VFR sectional charts and aeronautical weather reaports and alerts, and knowing the regulations that you need to be following to not be in violation of FAA regulations are all very important to any drone operation, or the businesses hiring them.
