Since my wife keeps referring to things that she “pinned” on Pinterest, it seemed like it was time to start a business page there. I can already see how it can become addictive as a way to categorize/share ideas and photos. I definitely like the simplicity of the “pin-it” button browser ad-don for Google Chrome. The way the pins are automatically laid out is also very simple and nice. On the negative side, the website is a little glitchy in Google Chrome, and I am not totally sold on how it handles content sharing for photographers. You can right click save any of the images (no copyright protection at all). That alone will limit the content that professional photographers will be willing to post.
I will try to keep our Pinterest account updated with interesting ideas(food, details, and cakes) from weddings we photograph, wedding reception location ideas, Chesapeake City Weddings, and a little bit of commercial and personal photography. Suggestions on types of photos to pin and board categories are welcome.
